Email where new mail is impossible to miss

IzoMailer is a clean, fast email app for Linux and Android. Unread mail stands out, new mail arrives within seconds, and nothing passes through anyone else's servers.

Install on Linux Android: coming to Google Play

Everything you need, nothing you don't

No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your email goes only between your device and your mail provider.

Works with your mailbox

  • Any IMAP/SMTP mailbox: Zoho Mail, iCloud, Yahoo, or your own domain.
  • Pick a known provider and the servers are filled in for you, with a link to where you create an app password.

New mail, right away

  • Instant notifications over IMAP IDLE: no push service in between.
  • Unread mail is bold and highlighted.
  • On Linux, a tray icon with an unread dot.

Fast and private

  • A local cache: opens instantly, searches every folder, works offline.
  • Remote images are blocked until you allow them, so senders can't track you.
  • Emails are cleaned and shown in a sandbox.

The everyday things

  • Read, reply, reply all, forward, write.
  • All your folders, attachments in and out.
  • Light and dark theme, following your system.

Turn emails into tasks

Optional: create a task from any email with a link back to it. Track tasks by status, share workspaces, attach files. Free plan at tasks.koli-bg.com: 20 open tasks, 3 members per workspace, 100 MB of attachments.

Your password stays yours

It is kept in your system keyring (Linux) or the app's private storage (Android) and sent only to your mail provider, over an encrypted connection.

Install on Linux

Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, Debian 12 or newer, and distributions based on them (Linux Mint, Pop!_OS, KDE neon…). Updates arrive with your normal system updates.

sudo curl -fsSLo /etc/apt/keyrings/koli-bg.gpg https://apt.koli-bg.com/KEY.gpg
echo "deb [signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/koli-bg.gpg] https://apt.koli-bg.com stable main" \
  | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/koli-bg.list
sudo apt update && sudo apt install izomailer

This adds IzoMailer's signed package repository; sudo apt upgrade then keeps the app up to date. IzoMailer appears in your app menu under Internet. To remove it: sudo apt remove izo-mailer.

Android

IzoMailer for Android is coming to Google Play.
